Typical Problems of Development
Lots of kids have behavioral challenges that don’t have a specific name or official diagnosis. Difficulty with toilet training, tantrums and other emotional regulation issues, physical aggression, accepting screen time limits, completing homework, following directions, doing chores, etc., are all things that many children struggle with. I can help you put into place motivators to encourage your child to do the things you want them to do, as well as discipline strategies to effectively discourage those negative behaviors. And while many (if not most) parents tell me they’ve tried these things and they just don’t work – after I teach you the tricks of the behavior analysis trade, you may find that they actually do. Perhaps more importantly, along the way we will make sure that you are building positive self-esteem and self-concept, which are the touchstones for true lasting behavior change.
